About Us

One Million Counterextinctions is a three-stage civic art project that asks how communities can design infrastructure for nonhuman species in climate-shifted 2045. What structures can you imagine to sustain the many lives that yours depends on?

Selected designs will become public installations in Gainesville, serving as emergency habitats and prototypes for cities rethinking survival as shared civic practice.
